Roger Clemens 2004 Game Worn Astros Jersey
This Home Pinstripe Jersey was one of the
few actual game jerseys worn by Roger
Clemens during his 7th Cy Young Season
of 2004.  The jersey has been photo
matched with over 70 photos spanning
from June 2004 to August 2004, including
one of two jerseys Roger wore during the
2004 All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 13,
2004.  Roger wore this jersey during
All-Star Pre-Game and 7th Inning
festivities; however, he wore a different
jersey to pitch the 1st Inning.
Notice the jersey has no front Majestic
tagging.  According to Astros clubhouse
equipment sources, Clemens had the Size
52 tags removed prior to use.  If you look
closely on the inside of this jersey, you can
faintly see the holes from the Majestic tag.
The jersey itself measures to a Size 52
with approximately 3" Extra Length.
We have been told by Astros clubhouse
equipment sources that Clemens wore
Size 52 exclusively in games.  There are
many Size 50 (non-retail size) jerseys on
the market; however, most of the Size 50
jerseys were distributed through the Roger
Clemens Foundation.
The jersey has the very important "0062"
team-issued tag on the inside left seam.

According to Astros equipment sources,
Roger did wear "some" retail tagged
"6200" jerseys, but likely for bench or
promotional use.  The "6200" tagged
jerseys are available in retail stores in Size
52, but not Size 50.
This jersey was obtained directly from the
Houston Astros at a Charity Fundraiser.
Roger signed the piece with his signature,
"Rocket," CY 7, and 2004 on the back #22

All 2004 Astros jerseys had the "All-Star
Game" host patch on the right sleeve.

Below is a photo of a Roger Clemens Game Worn Jersey that was on display at the
"Baseball As America" Exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.  The piece was
on loan from the Houston Astros Baseball Club.  Notice the jersey has no front tagging.
"Baseball As America" was a
traveling exhibit of artificats from the
National Baseball Hall of Fame in
Cooperstown, NY.  The Exhibit
began at the American Museum of
Natural History in New York in March
2002, crossing the country from Los
Angeles to Chicago, Cincinnati,
Washington, D. C., St. Louis, St.
Pettersburg, Houston, Oakland, and
Detroit.

Each host city would have a section
devoted to artifacts from the local
team.  The Astros featured a run of
uniforms from the 1962 Colt .45s to
the 2004 Astros.
